Community Engagement – Painting at the Autism Day Care Centre
As the leading vocational training and technical education provider in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Interserve Learning and Employment – Saudi Arabia is dedicated to both starting and helping initiatives which have a positive impact on the wider communities and local economies where we work.
In line with that value, the team at Al Quwayiyah College came together to support a new day care centre that specializes in providing special care to children with Autism. The centre is also the first of its kind in the city of Al Quwayiyah, which is 220km outside of Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, where we operate two of our colleges – one for Male and one for Female.
Our team ensured that we were at the forefront in terms of support, and took it upon themselves to design and paint the walls of the centre with different cartoons, figures of native animal, and a giant mural, making the centre friendlier for the children.
The project was carried over 3 days, and is part of our ongoing community engagement efforts. Next, the team is looking to raise money to purchase equipment like desks, chairs, etc and donating it to the centre.
